7 people indicted following car fleeing burglary kills pedestrian on Michigan Avenue.

Seven individuals have been charged in connection with a tragic incident on Chicago's Magnificent Mile where an innocent bystander lost his life during a smash-and-grab burglary. The suspects, whose ages range from 19 to 37 years old, face felony charges of murder and burglary. The event unfolded when a group crashed a pickup truck into the Louis Vuitton store on Michigan Avenue, leading to a fatal collision between a fleeing vehicle and another car at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Ohio Street. The driver of the other car, Mark Arceta, passed away at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Multiple suspects were apprehended, and merchandise was recovered from one of the vehicles. Further escapes in a separate vehicle resulted in a foot pursuit, with two additional individuals arrested. The suspects are set to appear in court for detention hearings this Saturday.
