66-year-old woman killed in deadly West Jordan collision
A tragic incident occurred in West Jordan on Tuesday night resulting in the passing of a 66-year-old woman following a fatal crash. The collision took place near 6600 S. Redwood Road at around 8:38 p.m. According to West Jordan police officer Aleya Mason, the victim, identified as Lisa McGeary, was leaving the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery parking lot when her vehicle was struck by another driver traveling southbound on Redwood Road. Despite being taken to a local hospital in critical condition, McGeary could not recover from her injuries. The vehicle that hit her had three occupants, all of whom sustained minor injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the accident to determine if impairment played a role. Further details surrounding the cause of the crash are still being looked into by the authorities.
