In Smith County, Texas, a tragic accident on Highway 31 near the county line has resulted in the loss of four lives. The Texas Department of Public Safety's initial report indicates that a vehicle traveling in the wrong lane caused a nearly head-on collision. Those involved in the crash were identified as Julian Martinez, 19, Jonathan Josue Perez, 20, David Morales Ramos, 21, and Nicholas Colby Sanders, 40, all from Kilgore.
