3 killed in fatal Milwaukee crash; 19-year-old facing charges connected to accident

A 19-year-old man from Milwaukee named Trevon Loston is now facing charges related to a tragic crash that resulted in the deaths of three members of one family at 35th and Vliet on Sept. 16. According to the criminal complaint, the incident began when Milwaukee police officers attempted to stop a white SUV that was driving without plates at a high speed. The driver of the SUV refused to stop and led the officers on a high-speed chase through a residential area, resulting in a collision at 35th and Vliet that claimed the lives of three individuals. The female passenger of the SUV was taken into custody and confessed to driving the vehicle during the pursuit. Loston, the accused, was found unconscious in the SUV holding a handgun when the police arrived at the scene. He later admitted to knowing that the vehicle, which was reported stolen from Indiana, was indeed stolen. Loston also confessed to being involved in the chase, acknowledging that he was guiding the female driver during the incident. Loston is expected to appear in Milwaukee County court on Sept. 20.
