28-year-old Monticello man with 4 children involved in Mississippi River boating incident

Officials reported that a man tragically passed away and two others survived on Tuesday after a fishing boat capsized on the Mississippi River near the Xcel Energy plant in Monticello. Tyler Tasche, 28 years old, lost his life in the accident while fishing with his brother and grandfather. His brother and grandfather were able to survive the ordeal. Tyler is survived by his wife and four children. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with funeral costs and support his family in the face of future financial challenges. The Wright County Sheriff's Office received a report at 10:32 a.m. on Tuesday about the capsized boat and responded swiftly. The authorities rescued two individuals and found one person unresponsive. The cause of the boat overturning is currently under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Office.
