2 West Virginians killed in crash on I-70, another passenger seriously injured
Two individuals, identified as Donna Havens and William Magers, tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision on Interstate 70 in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred near mile marker 5, close to the Claysville exit, just after 5 p.m. A Hyundai sedan traveling eastbound crossed the grass median into the westbound lanes, leading to a collision with a Ford SUV. Both drivers were fatally injured at the scene, while a woman in the SUV sustained life-threatening injuries and a juvenile in the back seat remarkably suffered no harm. Authorities were alerted to reports of an eastbound vehicle driving erratically on I-70 prior to the crash, and they are investigating if it was the same vehicle involved in the collision. The interstate was temporarily closed in both directions for investigation before reopening later that evening.
