Two men lost their lives, two women were hospitalized, and two children are recovering after a collision involving four vehicles in Saline Township, Michigan on Friday night. Michigan State Police reported that the crash occurred on Michigan Avenue and Willow Road around 7:30 p.m. The chain of events began when a 56-year-old man driving a Dodge Ram attempted to pass a Volvo semitruck on Michigan Avenue, resulting in a collision with a Jeep Cherokee traveling in the opposite direction. This caused the Jeep to veer off the road. The Dodge then struck the semitruck before colliding head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 43-year-old man from Osseo, Michigan, who tragically died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge, a man from Brooklyn, Michigan, also succumbed to his injuries. Two women involved in the crash, a 46-year-old from Osseo and the 36-year-old Jeep driver from Tecumseh, were critically injured and transported to the hospital. The Jeep driver's two young children, a 2-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter, sustained minor injuries. Michigan State Police reported that they do not suspect alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident, which is currently under investigation.
