17-year-old Mecklenburg teenager killed in single-car accident in Amelia County
A 17-year-old boy from Mecklenburg County tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Amelia County on Sunday evening. The incident occurred when the teenager, driving a 2023 Dodge Hornet, veered off Pridesville Road and overturned, resulting in his death. The boy, a resident of Clarksville, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Three other passengers in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Virginia State Police are currently investigating the details of the accident.
