15-year-old died in White Hall Road accident, authorities report
A tragic incident occurred on a Colleton County roadway resulting in the death of a teenager and injuries to two others. The collision occurred when a Honda driven by a 15-year-old veered off the road on White Hall Road Tuesday night. The vehicle then spun, crossed into the opposite lane, and was struck on the passenger side by an oncoming Dodge truck, causing both vehicles to hit a pine tree. Despite efforts by witnesses, the teenager, not wearing a seatbelt, sustained severe injuries and was unable to survive. The two adult males in the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews promptly responded to the scene, and White Hall Road remained closed for nearly three hours while the situation was addressed. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
