
1 person hurt when vehicle hits porch in Westerlo
Over the weekend, a vehicle collided with a residence's front porch in Westerlo, New York. According to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, the 30-year-old driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Albany Medical Center. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. near Route 32. When law enforcement arrived, they discovered the driver trapped in the vehicle, prompting assistance from the Westerlo Fire Department for extraction. Following an examination, it was revealed that the car veered off the road, struck a tree, and had its engine dislodged before crashing into the porch. Fortunately, no occupants of the residence were harmed. The Sheriff's Office noted that an investigation is ongoing.
