1 person hospitalized following car accident on Highway 80
A car accident took place on Highway 80 in Chatham County, Georgia, during the early hours of Sunday morning. Emergency services responded to the scene at the intersection of Hwy 80 and Johnny Mercer Blvd., where one individual was taken to Memorial Medical. The driver had to be rescued from the vehicle by the Chatham County Fire Department. Following the incident, both lanes of Hwy 80 were temporarily closed for investigation but are now open for traffic.
