1 killed, 2 hurt in La Riviera crash, per CHP
A fatal crash occurred in La Riviera on Thursday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and two individuals sustaining severe injuries, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred in a parking lot near the intersection of Watt Avenue and La Riviera Drive, where a Hyundai Tucson was traveling eastbound on La Riviera Drive, veered off the road at a high speed, and struck a tree. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned into a parking lot, colliding with a metal fence. Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department had to extract individuals from the vehicle, with the driver succumbing to their injuries at the scene.
