1 fatality in accident on I-24 in South Nashville, according to authorities

A fatal crash involving several vehicles occurred on Interstate 24 in South Nashville. The incident, initially reported to involve four vehicles, actually included two motorcycles and a sedan. One individual, identified as 26-year-old Terrell Robins Jr. from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle and collided with a Nissan Versa. This collision led to the Nissan driver losing control and hitting a Honda motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old from Georgia. Despite all individuals wearing helmets and no signs of impairment, sadly Terrell Robins Jr. passed away from his injuries after being taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The 20-year-old motorcyclist also sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to VUMC for treatment. Law enforcement is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
